Handy features for everyone

After playing the new 0.1.3 patch, I have noticed a couple of handy features that simply improve already valid features in the game. These are mostly settings options, and hopefully shouldn’t be to much trouble to implement.

Option to enable FPS readouts
Currently, it is fairly easy to enable the FPS readouts yourself just by accessing the game files. It gives handy readouts of frames, tiles active, the game time, world position, dungeon position, cpu usage and even the current velocity of your player! These values would be very handy for all players, and it’d be more of a convinience addition to have them togglable in the settings, or via keybind.

FPS readout’s velocity value works while driving
As stated before, the FPS readout also gives the current velocity of the player. Trouble is, this doesn’t work while riding a vechile. It would make for a fun addition for players specifically to get the speed readouts of their racing cars, rovers, tanks, flyers, or otherwise. Again, this is not a major feature as just a convinience addition.

Sliders to adjust how many/the threshold for tiles going active
The 1.3 update has brought along the new “Tiles” feature, basically the way worlds are loaded. Tiles go active and inactive based on distance (presumably). However, for people with slower computers, loading in tiles to frequently can cause large lag spikes, which can be a real pain. Meanwhile, others with high end computers would have no trouble with tiles loading, and any frame drops would not be unnoticable.

Make tiles load in the background
As a possible fix to the tile loading FPS drops, tiles should load in the background. This should smooth out the FPS of a game, or allow breaks in the loading process to allow some time for tiles to load without having to watch a slideshow.

Make critters non-agressive to players in Creative Mode
Similar to what you would see in minecraft, critters should ignore players in creative mode, unless they are attacked. This means players can go about their buisness constructing their rocket/sub/death machine while not having to drag it away from that damn scorpion. This is especially valid now that there are many more critters to fight now.

Make submarines fill with water (like with the air/water tank) when they have their door open
Makes sense, right? Of course, with the door open, you can’t easily let out the water again.

I don't know if loading tiles in the background would be good for optimisation, surely the more loaded tiles means the more the PC has to process.

This isn’t going to change the amount of tiles loaded, just how the tiles are loaded.

I just feel like it would amount to a huge lag spike at the beginning that you'd have to overcome.

It wouldn’t be any worse than it is now
